If you have suggestions for topics I might write about in future blog posts at Bilingual Monkeys, please feel free to share them by replying below. Although I keep a list of ideas for possible posts--and other ideas often arise as life unfolds--it would still be helpful to hear what sort of topics are of interest or concern to you. I can't promise that I'll write about every suggestion, but I'd be grateful for your ideas! Thank you!
Adam Beck is the author of the popular nonfiction books "Maximize Your Child's Bilingual Ability" and "I WANT TO BE BILINGUAL!" (illustrated by Pavel Goldaev) as well as the award-winning humorous novel "How I Lost My Ear" (illustrated by Simon Farrow).
1) How to deal with changing the language you speak to your partner or children.
2) Being active with your children in the ML community, while maintaining your ml goals.
3) Building a ml network. (Playdate partners, friends, online, at home and abroad...)
English speaking Canadian Mom, French speaking Dad, transitioning to minority language at home (English) with our daughter in France. Our daughter is doing great with English:) recently our son was born.
Forgive me if you've written on this already and I haven't seen it.... What about one on how to make contacts in the minority language? Such as starting a story time in your local library, playgroups on Meetup or through a flyer in the grocery store bulletin board? Bombarding strangers at the park when you hear them speaking your target language? That would even be a good challenge for this board.
I don't know how you come up with new things to write about after so many years of doing this!
What's on your mind right now? Just type and hit "Enter" to share it here!

Mayken: We finally sold my (9 years old) daughter's pram! The buyers are of Danish (Dad) and Russian/Armenian (Mom) origin. The mom wants to raise her kid (boy, not yet born) bilingual Russian, I encouraged her to do . He'll also get Danish from family in DK.

Adam Beck: Amy, western Japan, where we live, was spared, but the typhoon hit central and eastern Japan very hard. Thank you for thinking of us. I'm thinking of you and your family, along with everyone I met during my trip! (And I can picture you now, too!)

Mayken: Last night, I couldn't think of the ml word for puffin, and my daughter beat me to it, in a cute way: It's Papageitaucher (literally parrot diver) but she said Tauchpapagei (diving parrot).
